Like most people you know, John is a human and lives on the planet Earth. As far as he knows he was born of the usual two parents, one also named John, and one named Bridget. He also has a sister christened Kristen and a brother named Scott. On April 26, 2009 he was lucky enough to marry Jennifer (nee Milner) who, in his opinion, "is pretty great."

John currently resides in south-central Pennsylvania in the United States of America. He works for a company whose website is much too embarrassing to link to, but is nonetheless a great place to work and full of good people. John's job involves traveling America testing emergency power systems (like batteries and generators) for phone companies, banks, and utilities.

At home and at work John enjoys the hobby of photography. He won a minor prize at an outdoor photo contest in York, but did not let fame go to his head. Writing is another small joy - in fact this website is intended as an outlet for his writing and his photography.

In his youth John was a model student. In fact, he was quite a model person. Nameless passersby would lift up their faces and smile whenever he walked through his hometown of Red Lion. During his college years he moved to Lancaster, and a pall was cast on the once bright county of York Pennsylvania. After a stint in Exton he moved back to Red Lion, and the sunshine and daffodils returned with him.

While it may be true that he perhaps played a few too many video games and ate a few more extra pounds of Cheetos than was absolutely necessary, he enjoys the outdoors - hiking, biking, tubing, and swimming. Luckily for him his wife also enjoys these pursuits, as well as sharing his passion for reading. They are also planning to help Shalom Christian Mission's Kenya child outreach program by volunteering for the next mission trip as well as some behind the scenes efforts.

On matters technological John is fiercely opinionated and a bit of a bore. Starting out loving Windows and loathing Macintosh, he switched to Gnu/Linux for several years before becoming a fan of Apple's OS X. This website is built on free, open-source software: Drupal, Apache, PHP, and MySQL.
