Went to Longwood yesterday, hoping for a good photo opportunity. I think I found it in the Idea Garden, a section dedicated to the practicalities of home gardening. The flowers were swarming with bees and other pollen-loving insects. The cone flowers have a unique shape, and I was able to capture one in what I feel is a good composition.

I used my +4 close-up filter/lens to fill the frame with the flower. The final image (click the thumbnail for it) has not been cropped at all. I was able to do some selective sharpening in Photoshop, as well as introduce some contrast with a white-to-black gradient overlay. I am very happy with the result.
