My recent visit to Sequoia National Park did not yield many shots worth speaking about. I came upon this scene, and thought it would make a good subject to try out high dynamic range (HDR) imaging. This technique processes multiple exposures of the same scene and combines them into one image, allowing a digital capture to have the same dynamic color range that a film exposure would have.

I think the result turned out well, especially after the critique from the TFTTF forum members.
