“Denver Sunset”

While in Denver last week I managed to snap the setting sun from our hotel parking lot. The first few shots weren't anything at all because the camera was on automatic mode and the sun was washing the sky out. The Canon SD500 has the ability to under/over-expose, so I took it down a full stop in order to get more detail in the clouds. The framing of the tree helps balance out the picture. Only a small area was cropped away (some featureless white caused by the sun).

I used the Neat Image plug-in to reduce noise, and a blue photo filter to bring out the color of the sky. Leveling done in Photoshop.
