Was able to go hiking near Benton, PA during the 4th of July weekend. Took the tripod along for the express purpose of getting a shot like this. I am pleased with the way it turned out. This is one of three or so angles that I tried out.

Went to Longwood yesterday, hoping for a good photo opportunity. I think I found it in the Idea Garden, a section dedicated to the practicalities of home gardening. The flowers were swarming with bees and other pollen-loving insects. The cone flowers have a unique shape, and I was able to capture one in what I feel is a good composition.

This picture is the second of three oil slick pictures I took at Saturday's Market. The blue swirl takes the form of a dragon, perhaps spewing mountains of flame into the sky.

Took this picture while visiting the Aviation Museum. The front of a plane (forget which type) was bulbous and covered with welds and rivets. I took a few pictures from several different angles, and decided to present them together as one piece.

Took this while in the mountains to the east of Phoenix. It is nothing too spectacular, but I was able to practice my post-processing on it. I deepened the blue of the water, and brought out more contrast in the rocks with a dodge/burn layer. Finally some curves to finish it off.

The last in the series of happened-upon oil slick pictures. This one reminds me of some sort of surrealistic or impressionistic canvas that got out of control, or oily clouds on a moon of Saturn. I think the soft blue area is very calming, but is intruded upon by the angry orange blob. Well, whatever. :)
