Today we had our first good snow for February. The snow storm was accompanied by thunder & lightning, keeping me awake well after midnight. But the lightning illuminated a possession of mine that I've had since 8th grade. Seeing a cactus lit up against the snow gave me the idea for this latest photo. I took a few shots immediately (1600 ISO, ugh) and then finally went to sleep. Awaking at eight I decided to try the shot in full daylight. The results were much, much better. The window's mesh screen overlayed the snow-covered trees with a warped glass pattern.
